Apply the patch to clean, dry skin. Wear for 12 hours. Discard. Wait 12 hours. Apply a fresh patch.

Stay Hydrated

Sip slowly on water all day long. Ask your health practitioner or a reliable source for the amount of water for your weight. Another tip is to inspect the color of your urine — a pale straw or light-yellow color indicates proper hydration, whereas dark yellow or amber-colored urine suggests dehydration. Can I Get the Patches Wet? 

Yes! They are impermeable to moisture.

Body Heat

Infrared heat from your body activates the patches... up to 3 or 4" away from your body.  Our bodies are always producing heat which moves outward as invisible infrared light. This heat doesn’t stop right at our skin—it extends a couple of inches into the air around us. Infrared cameras can detect this invisible light and turn it into an image so they can “see” people by the warmth their bodies give off, even in the dark. 

Another Option for Wearing the Patches

If you don't want to (or can't) adhere patches to your skin, they can be put on the inside or outside of your clothing... or even in a pocket. It doesn't matter which side of the patch faces your body.

Warnings

• Remove the patch if you feel discomfort. Wait an hour or two and try again. However, don't reapply this patch to your skin. Instead, see the section 'Another Option' above.
• If you experience irritation after wearing the patch (which seldom happens btw), it's usually because you're applying the patch to the same location every day and a bit of glue from the previous patch may still be on your skin. This is why we say apply to CLEAN & DRY skin.
